Former world number one Rafael Nadal (№5 ATP) beat Daniil Medvedev of Russia (№2 ATP) in five sets.

For Nadal, it was the sixth Aus Open final and the second victory. Medvedev fought for the title in Melbourne for the second time in a row and lost again.
The King of the Ground has won his 21st Grand Slam title, setting a new milestone. Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic have 20 such titles each.
Nadal won for the first time with 0: 2 in sets since 2007, when in the fourth round of Wimbledon in the same scenario he beat another Russian Mikhail Yuzhny. To date, there have been only three such strong-willed victories in Rafa’s career.
