Novak Djokovic: “In the next seven to ten days I will tell you more about the Australian events”
The world’s first racket Novak Djokovic met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and commented on events in Australia related to the abolition of his visa and subsequent deportation from the country
“Today, as a citizen of Serbia, I would like to see you and thank you for your support during the sad events in Australia. Although I was alone, I did not feel lonely. I was supported by my family, friends, the entire Serbian people and many good people around the world who tried to make my stay in Australia personally and publicly easier.
You didn’t have to support me, but I want you to know that I’m very grateful that you took my side by putting yourself in an ambiguous position. I appreciate, respect and will remember for a long time. And my connection with the Serbian people is getting stronger day by day. The events in Australia have been a lesson to me and this connection will last forever.
As I have not spoken about this before, in the next seven to ten days I will tell in detail my version of the story of what happened in Australia, “Djokovic said during a meeting with Vucic.
