Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas commented on the dissatisfaction of the Russian Daniil Medvedev during the match of opponents in the semifinals of the Australian Open. The second racket of the world Medvedev demanded that the opponent be given a warning for coaching, his father suggested something to him. The judge eventually warned Tsitsipas already at the beginning of the fourth set. Earlier, Medvedev yelled at the referee and called him “stupid”.
“The referees… I don’t know if they will ever understand that I can’t hear anything when I play. During the game I try to find solutions, I try to read the game and recreate it in my head before the draw,” Tsitsipas said after the match.
Medvedev defeated Tsitsipas 7:6 (7:5), 4:6, 6:4, 6:1 and will play Spaniard Rafael Nadal in the final.
